Celebrate Banned Books Week!

September 27th thru October 4th is the 27th annual Banned Books Week. Embrace your freedom to read by checking out the display of banned books during our celebration.

Once again, And Tango Makes Three by Justin Richardson tops the list of the most challenged books of 2007. Who knew that two male penguins would ruffle so many feathers! Thankfully, if you would like to read this book, it’s available in our library.

Celebrate Constitution Day!

On Sept. 17, 1787, the U.S. Constitution was signed by thirty-nine brave men who changed the course of history. Now Constitution Day is a time for us to continue their legacy and develop habits of citizenship in a new generation of Americans.

Today, September 17, 2008, we celebrate our founding fathers and the document that affects our everyday lives.

Stop by the library to check out our Constitution Day Display.
